Features for Patrons with Disabilities

The main entrance to the James Brown Arena on 7th Street is wheelchair accessible by the ramp located near the base of the marquee. Once inside the James Brown Arena, an elevator is available to provide access between the concourse and floor level. This elevator is located on the concourse level to the left of the main entrance.

The main entrance to the Bell Auditorium is on Telfair Street and is wheelchair accessible by the ramp located near the Box Office.

Accessible Seating   

Accessible seating is available at various locations throughout the James Brown Arena. Accessible seating is located on the concourse level of sections 102, 104, 105, 108, 109, 111, 116, and 117. There are limited accessible seats located on the floor, unless otherwise specified by the promoter or special arrangements have been made with management.

Accessible seating is available on the floor of the Bell Auditorium. There is NO elevator in the Bell Auditorium. Balcony seating is not accessible.

Accessible Parking

For your convenience, there are designated accessible parking spaces located in our 7th Street lot and at the Bell Auditorium. Spaces are available on a first come, first serve basis. Customers may drop off a disabled patron at the front of the James Brown Arena, park their car in one of the lots, and then meet that person inside the James Brown Arena. A parking fee will be charged to every patron who parks in the lots surrounding the James Brown Arena. Typically, the parking fee is $5 per parking space.

Guide Dogs/Service Animals

Trained guide dogs or service animals are permitted/allowed to assist guests inside the arena. The service animal must remain under the control of its handler. Please notify the arena at the time of ticket purchase if special accommodations are required for the service animal. All other animals are prohibited.

Assisted Listening Devices/Sign Interpreters

Listening devices are available for those hard of hearing. If you would like to request the use of a listening device, please contact the venue at least 72 hours in advance of the event. A photo ID is required as collateral for using the assisted listening device. The ID will be exchanged back for the device when returned. Sign interpreters are available upon request. Interpreters must be requested at least 14 days prior to the event.
